So far in 2012 my planned operations have not gone as planned. Great intentions did not result in the type of efforts I have put in for a given contest in the past. This year I am still battling antenna and transceiver issue, which as of now are yet unresolved.

For the early part of the year I do have some operations scheduled. Beginning February 11, 0000z I will hopefully put in a full effort in the CQ WW RTTY WPX. Currently looking into past contests and effort to see what category I will run. I am considering a low power, single band effort using 15M or 20M.

Just a week later comes the ARRL DX CW Contest and while CW isn’t my strongest mode, I really love participating and will put in some time on this contest, but much like the CQ WW RTTY contest, if I can get one day off from work, I might attempt another low power, single band effort.

At the end of March, it’s the NAQP RTTY, which is a favorite, much like the NAQP CW is. It’s a relatively quick contest and depending what my schedule holds and the availability of W6JZH, I might see if I can guest operator this contest.
